Town of Cary will be picking up loose leaves from the curb in Brookgreen Forest on the following schedule:

November 23rd – 30th.
December 14th – 22nd.

New Architectural Standards Approved

In October of 2021 the Board mailed out an announcement with several proposed changes to our Architectural Standards to be voted upon at our 11/18/2021 annual meeting. At the annual meeting the proposed changes were approved.

Arch Request Signature Suspension Notice

In the spirit of social distancing and the unknown duration of this pandemic, we are suspending the signature requirements for Architectural Requests until further notice.

Once an Architectural Request Form is submitted to the Architecture Review Committee, it will go through the established approval processes.  If an architectural request is approved, the HOA will mail a copy to the appropriate neighbors on your behalf so they are aware of your plans.  If any neighbors receive notice and have questions, they can communicate directly with the Architecture Review Committee.

Please do not forget to submit architectural requests before starting work.  Failure to do so will result in a violation letter.

Spring Violation Review

Below is a list of common problems our Property Management company will be reviewing this Spring. We are sharing this with the community so that homeowners may get ahead of potential violations.

If you are in the process of fixing any of these, be sure to either notify the Property Management company or put in an architectural request if appropriate to avoid violation notices.

  1. Flower and plant beds
    • Should be weed free and have proper mulching
  2. Large bare areas in lawns that require seeding
  3. External home repairs
    • Siding or trim requiring painting
    • Chimney caps needing repair
    • Broken windows requiring replacement
  4. Houses with wood rot or animal intrusion holes in the siding or trim
  5. Gutter maintenance
    • Missing, damaged, or requiring cleaning
  6. Fences
    • Leaning over
    • Broken or missing slats
  7. Debris left in the yard
